Food Donations
Direct Fire Relief Needs
Please drop off food in the alley behind the Food Bank (located at 1710 22nd Street, Santa Monica, CA 90404) from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. We need the following:
- Food Items
- Bottled water
- Ready-to-eat meals
- Pop-top cans of soups and stews
- Tuna pouches
- Protein bars and granola bars
- Boxed shelf-stable milk
- Peanut butter
- Boxed cereal and ready-to-eat oatmeal
- Baby & Children Items
- Diapers
- Formula
- Toddler food
- Nonperishable kid snacks (Fruit cups, Crackers, Chips, Fruit snacks/bars)
- Non-Food Items
- Emergency blankets
- Any personal protection equipment:
- N95 masks (we do not need any non-N95)
- Goggles
- Packaged undergarments (Socks, Underwear)
- Hygiene products (Toothpaste, Toothbrushes, Shampoo & Conditioner, Lotion, Razors, Body wash, Hand sanitizer, Ziploc, Deodorant, Lip Balm, Soap, Gloves, Wipes, Laundry detergent sheets, Tampons, Maxi pads)
- Paper goods (Toilet paper, Paper towels, Paper plates)
- Air purifiers
- Tote bags
We cannot accept any food that is expired. Frozen/refrigerated food can be accepted by calling beforehand. We are also able to accept large collections of food by appointment only. Food that is NOT expired can be left in one of the boxes at the front of our office.
We regularly accept these items year-round:
- Peanut Butter and other nut butters
- Pasta and noodles
- Cereal (hot and cold)
- Canned soups
- Canned meats and fish
- Beans (dry and canned)
- Canned stews or chili
- Canned pasta
- Canned vegetables
- Canned or dried fruits
- Canned tomatoes
- Pasta sauces (no glass, please)
- Protein, energy, or granola bars
- Lentils
- Baby foods and formula
- Shelf-stable milk or nondairy substitutes
- Cooking oil
- Flour and baking mixes
- Nuts
- Rice
